Summer - Reindeer Lodge

Reindeer Lodge An eco friendly accommodation situated in the forest. Stay in modern, comfortable wilderness cabins or in a genuine Sámi tent at a peaceful place. Savour the moment of silence with nature and wildlife just around the corner.   Our Reindeer Lodge is remotely situated in the taiga forest outside Jukkasjärvi village and only 3 km from the Icehotel area. During winter you find here enclosures for our reindeer, but in summer it is only used for accommodation.   Cabins: Reindeer Lodge has four double bed cabins. With extra beds (1,60 x 1,80 m) the cabins can accommodate up to four persons each. The cabins are equipped with a wood stove for cosiness.   Lávvu-tents: Reindeer Lodge has four Sámi tents called Lávvu. With twigs and reindeer skins on the ground you have the real and genuine mattress. The lávvus are equipped with an open fire place. Up to 4 persons can sleep in one lávvu. If you want to experience the traditional accommodation of the Sámi people - a lávvu is your choice.

A separate timber log building serves as a common self-catering facility with kitchen and stove. There is no running water at the lodge but we have a comfortable lavatory with a multi-toilette as well as a sauna facility where you can have a wash. Reindeer Lodge offers an excellent starting point for walks in the forest or why not take a swim in the nearby creek. To pick berries in the colourful autumn can be quite an adventure, not to mention eating them afterwards.  Price: SEK 600 per cabin and night, Jun - Aug 2012.            SEK 800 per cabin and night, Sep - Oct 2012.           SEK 900 per lávvu and night, Jun - Oct 2012.
