Autumn - Visit in Jukkasjärvi 

Icehotel - Church- Sámi camp with reindeer Guided tour with minivan to Jukkasjärvi. We meet in front of the tourist information in Kiruna. We make a halt in between at the shores of the Torne River where the world famous Icehotel is built from scratch every winter and starts to melt at the end of April. Icehotel will have its 23nd anniversary the coming winter season 2012/13. We continue to the oldest preserved church in Swedish Lapland. The church is most famous for its colourful altarpiece which was made by Bror Hjorth. Next to the church Sámi Siida is situated- a Sámi outdoor museum with dwellings and exhibits from the nomadic time. We visit Sámi Siida and learn among other things about reindeer husbandry, try to throw lasso and enter the enclosure with our tamed reindeer. We feed the reindeer and may be able to pet them. Before we head back to Kiruna, we enjoy Sámi bread with reindeer meat and get the chance to visit our small shop with Sámi handicraft and souvenirs. Transfer back to Kiruna.
