About us

Nutti Sámi Siida

Nutti Sámi Siida is a well established Sámi (Lappish) ecotourism company in Jukkasjärvi village, in northernmost part of Sweden. The Sámi people have always lived close to nature with great respect for all living. Working in a responsible and sustainable way is very natural for us.

The owners Nils Torbjörn Nutti and Carina Pingi are both Sámi and Nils is a reindeer herder in Saarivuoma Sameby and Carina has her reindeer in Gabna Sameby. You find us in the village Jukkasjärvi, about 15 km from Kiruna.

Our history

We started in 1996. Bad grazing for the reindeer during the winter forced us to feed them in corrals instead of herding them out in the woods. Factory made food was expensive and to get an extra income we deceided to take visitors to the corral. The business grew and we decided to start the tourism company Nutti Sámi Siida. >>Read more
